EDUCATION-TRAINING

Pam earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing from Southern University A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is currently a doctoral student, Doctorate of Nurse Practitioner (DNP), candidate for the Spring 2025.

Pam has over 20 years in the healthcare field. Her nursing career began as a Registered Nurse, on the medical surgical/telemetry unit at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Hospital, a Registered Nurse -Case Manager at Ochsner Medical Center, a Dialysis Nurse for Fresenius Medical Care, and travels as a statewide and across-the-country Registered Nurse.

In 2014 she repositioned into her role as a Nurse Practitioner at Ochsner Urgent Care, and as a Primary Care Provider at various primary care clinics throughout east Baton Rouge and surrounding areas. Prior to joining BestCare Medical team, she was a travel Nurse Practitioner (Locums) throughout the United States in roles of primary care, urgent care, and home health provider, as she continued on the frontlines even in the wake of the onset of the Covid 19 pandemic.

Additionally, Pam has always believed in giving back to HBCU’s and her alma mater, Southern University. She passionately serves as adjunct nursing clinical instructor and adjunct faculty for the Southern University School of Nursing, for the last 8 years.

CERTIFICATIONS / ORGANIZATIONS

• Pam was inducted into the Southern University and Agricultural & Mechanical College School of Nursing Alumni Association as a Charter Member on December 9, 2020.
• A member of the Louisiana Association of Nursing Practitioners and American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
• Inducted member in Phi Pi Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing
• She has Hospital privileges with Our Lady of the Lake Hospital 
• Southern University School of Nursing Alumni Association
• Southern University Alumni Federation
• Volunteer as a Nurse Practitioner Provider for several years for the “Love Heals Free Clinic” 
• Current Member of Women Working With Women (4WE) serve on the Advisory Board , and Chairman of the H.E.A.L. ( healthcare) Committee 
• Inducted in 2023 to the Mystic Krewe of Femme Fatale Organization – actively involved in outreach with the their health and wellness committee.
